The elder zeitgeist Stick(wo)man

He / She has no face and no age, and she’s / he’s bright yellow because the spirit of the elders doesn’t dim. A megaphone sits where her / his head should be, because the voice matters more than the face: our elders have things to say, and they’re done being quiet. One hand rests on his / her hip, a stubborn, unhurried stance that says she / he has walked a long way and isn’t finished.

At his / her feet is a small lizard, a creature that sheds what no longer serves it and starts again. It reminds us that elders have survived every change their lives have gone through, and that it is never too late for a fresh start.

On every elder zeitgeist expedition crest she / he appears in the picture without explanation, the one odd, bold figure standing out from the world around her / him. He / she asks you to look twice, and when you do, she’s / he’s saying the same thing each time:

listen to the elders
